She's alright, she's alright .......

So maybe 2-3 weeks ago I heard about a great guitarist playing sort of in my area, so I decided after seeing a few people sending to various venues and getting successes I would give it a shot. Deep down inside I figured it would get lost or better yet smoked by a roadie or something to that effect.

Well today I open the mail and seen I got a return, sweet. As I am walking back to the house I notice the envelope feels empty in fact I can tell it is not what I sent out to who ever this is from. Was this a case of a angry ball player or celebrity just sending back a empty envelope? Nope, its a guitar pick from a living legend Eric Clapton!!!!

Words can not describe what a great sucsess this is. I went from thinking great I made someone angry to holy CRAP in 0.3 seconds flat!

How to send a baseball to a player ttm (through the mail)?

Here are a few tips on how to send a baseball to be autographed through the mail in a bubble mailer envelope.

Step #1 pretty much the most important one make sure the player signs baseballs ttm. Some do not and even worse some never come back and you are out $15.00.

Step #2
You will now need the following supplies most you can get at your local office supplies stores for under 1.00 each.

1-#0 Bubble mailer
1- #2 Bubble mailer

1- OMLB Major league baseball
don't use any other balls they are seriously prone to fading and bleeding over time.

*- Some Bubble wrap
to wrap the ball for added protection.

Step #3 On the smaller of the the 2 envelopes #0 put YOUR address

Step #4
On The larger #2 put the player/celebrities address.

Step #5
Wrap the ball in bubble wrap and place in the smaller envelope.

Step #6
Go to your local post office with the small envelope #0 (ball included) inside of the
larger envelope #2 and have them place the proper postage on the outer package.

Step #7
Make sure you buy stamps for the smaller package (the one that has your address on it) the amount of stamps should be exactly what the post office put on the outer envelope. Some post offices wont allow you to pre-print a postage label since its dated. I have a few that don't give me a problem this makes it a lot easier not having to put $2.50+ of stamps on the smaller envelope.

Step #8
Place the #0 in the #2 both should have proper postage/stamps. Seal the #2 with the ball and #0 inside and send away.

Marker/jersey mini helmet FAQ

Q: What is the best markers for autographs on jerseys or mini helmets?

A: I like using paint pens. I used either sharpie oil based paint pens or another favorite to a lot of auto collectors are the decocolor brand. These can both be found at many local craft stores and should be no more than $4.00. each pen

Just a thought.

An idea?

As you can imagine I get numerous amounts of emails a day asking for different addresses. While I try to take care of most requests its getting a bit time consuming. Someone emailed me a few days ago saying I should set up some kind of donation structure where you could pay x amount of dollars for x amount of addresses.

Now this sounds good since I have access to a huge database with over 200,000 addresses that updates daily. This would be good for people who maybe only wants 5-10 address but don't want to pay 50$ for a subscription. One option I feel may work is this:

Say you want 5 addresses for ttm autographs, you can make a top 7-8 list of player/celebrties and I can check to see if they have signed ttm in the last 6 months according to the database. After 5 are found you send a paypal donation and I email your list.

So until I get some sort of structure set up this is just an idea to help lighten to load, as always please feel free to email me your ideas, questions, comments or concerns at

Today I sit in the blues!!!

Today got a GREAT return from possibly the best blues guitar players of our time the one and only legend Buddy Guy. I sent Mr Guy a index card and was awesome enough to send me a personalized 8x10. When I started this project I would have never have guessed it would be this fulfilling but it has been 10 fold.

*Random fact: Guy is a showman who influenced how Jimi Hendrix and other musicians entertain on stage. Hendrix sometimes cancelled his own concerts to attend Guy’s club shows, which he filmed or audio taped.

The scan of the 8x10 will be posted later.

If you dont know, school has begun click play to learn.

autograph from the personal collection PanterA style!

Since I have not had any autographs come back lately and people may actually read this crappy blog I may as well post one from the personal collection. This is a in person autograph I got on the night on the ticket. Its from the one and only Dimebag Darrell Abbott of pantera fame. oh what a great night maybe later I will scan the backstage pass. who knows..

Great guy who is deeply missed. Why I got just him to sign this stub is still a mystery to me (fuzzy memories) but this stub is cherished none the less. When I stumbled upon this hidden in a book forgotten all about it made me smile hopefully it does the same for you.

as always click the thumbnail image for full sized and enjoy.

Bob Sheppard "The voice of God"

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Robert Leo Sheppard,
(born October 12, 1910) has been the public address announcer for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball since 1951, and was for the New York Giants of the National Football League from 1956 to 2006. Since joining the Yankees, he has announced over 4,500 Major League Baseball games, and has worked 22 World Series. The first Yankee lineup Sheppard announced contained 5 future Hall of Famers: Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Johnny Mize, Yogi Berra, and Phil Rizzuto. The Yankees played the Boston Red Sox that day, so Sheppard also introduced Ted Williams and Lou Boudreau, for a total of seven future Hall of Famers.

Sheppard has been honored by having his microphone encased in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. On May 7, 2000, in celebration of his 50th season as the Yankees' PA announcer, the team dedicated a plaque in his honor, to be placed in Monument Park at Yankee Stadium. The plaque calls him "The Voice of Yankee Stadium." Former CBS Evening News anchorman Walter Cronkite served as the public-address announcer during the ceremony.

Yankee Hall-of-Famer Reggie Jackson once dubbed him "the Voice of God."
Mr Sheppard is still the current P.A. announcer for Yankee Stadium.

Very cool return!

TTM FAQ V 1.0

What is ttm?
ttm or through the mail is where you send a self addressed stamped envelope to a Celebrity or Sports figure both current and retired with a request for an autograph on you item. Sometimes its a home address or sometimes it's C/O the team they play for.

How do you get these addresses?
All are available to the public on various websites around the net. Most charge for membership. The people who return you item signed do not have a problem with people sending items TTM.

Are these real autographs?
Some are and some are what are called pre-prints where they duplicate a photograph with the person signature already on the item. There is also a machine called a "auto pen" where a person signs their name a few times and then duplicates the signature on to an item looking real but is not. But most everyone you will find here is a legit (except the matsui).

How can I make sure my item is really signed?
There is no tell all way, But chances are if you send a card or ball and you get it back signed its legit. Try going to ebay and look for other certified items the person has sold and see if it matches.

Send outs NOV 9th

All sent out where blank index cards unless noted otherwise.
